I think that Bella has taught me the most in this book. She taught me to stay loyal to my true friends. She taught me to support my companions even in the times we aren't the closest. She cared for her father, Jacob, and Alice without a second thought and was always willing to put others before herself. She learned to love others in spite of their mistakes and did anything possible to help those she loved.

This story teaches us to stay close to our true friends, for they can cheer us up when we are down and provide a sense of stability. This story teaches us this lesson by grouping Jacob and Bella together as they form an unbreakable bond. The story also teaches the characters to trust each other with all their problems and secrets. When an individual goes through a rough time in their life, they will always have a friend there for them.

Other than the fact that the stories both take place in a colder, semi-northern climate, there hasn't yet been much for me to relate to. This one connection I have made lets me understand the problems the characters are going through in terms of weather and the amount of daylight.
Due to the fact that my book has just started, I have only been introduced to characters, the setting, etc and haven't been surprised by anything taken place.
