This is my first read from Maria Semple, and I absolutely loved her writing style and humor. I couldn't really get past the protagonist's immaturity, though, and I almost put the book down in the beginning because she is so unlikeable! Despite that, I still am looking forward to reading Where'd You Go, Bernadette.

Loved the suspense and the storyline. Read it in one sitting. Although I didn't love the characters, I would definitely recommend this thriller for a fun read.

An enjoyable trilogy (though admittedly I did not read the first book). Great read for the season.

A very enjoyable escapist read about a family running an inn during Christmastime in Nantucket. Fun read for this time of year! I even missed the first book in this trilogy but did not need to read it to enjoy this book.

The author's vulnerability and raw honesty made this a memoir I couldn't put down.

Another quick read but I couldn't relate to the characters. :/

AlicePaulJr Ouch. Reminds me of the Emily Giffin books. The plot was kind of dramatic in the normal way of things. But all of the characters are horrible. 8y
