Thank you NetGalley and OldCastle books!
1922 is a short but interesting read that really sums up what the year 1922 would have felt like to someone living through it!
I don't think a reader will find everything included in this book interesting, that being said I would give it to anyone who likes history because Nick Rennison is a good writer.
Of course, I did feel like the book focused on some countries more than others.

Thank you NetGalley and The Passionate Pen for the chance to read and review the arc for 100 Nights with the Duke.

I can easily see why Jess Michaels has been able to publish 100 romance novels, and I'll probably check out more if I haven't already! This was a fun, light, read, with a lot of smut. I loved the twist, I didn't see that coming from Granny!

I haven't read anything by Mark Shepard before this. There were some pieces that I didn't understand the point of, but others that I really liked. I was also a little taken aback by the length and had to check that on Goodreads; the book is extremely short at 28 pages.

“You are so beautiful, but I‘m sorry if sometimes I don‘t know whether it‘s a mask or not. I saw a man rip his skin off right in front of me once. And now sometimes when I run my hands over you, I look for corners that lift. It‘s just a habit.
I want to love you wholly. I will one day.
Please be patient with me.”

I know this isn‘t relevant to the book, and has nothing to do with my review, but I have 29 followers on Wordpress and that gives me so much joy! I think insta has been exhausting me with the whole engagement group thing and the quest for likes, wordpress has been a nice way of writing a bit and posting and figuring out my own pace.

Thank you, NetGalley for the chance to read and review this.

This was a very pretty book. I feel like the illustrations were really appropriate given the artists featured in this book; Degas, Cassat and Monet. While the book really focuses on Degas and his life, one that was getting more and more lonely, I loved that Cassat had was such a strong presence.

I‘m not a big fan of Amanda Lovelace, but I couldn‘t pass up the chance to read her new book unlσck чσur ѕtσrчвσσk hєαrt which comes out on the 15th of March.

Honestly, while Amanda Lovelace has some really great messages in her book, I don‘t particularly like her poetry; this may be my least favourite book of hers.

her love adores her even when she's being impossible.
— who knew?

That‘s nice and sweet to write, but it doesn‘t make it poetry.

For it would seem, that all things wrap themselves

In secrecy against us. See: the trees

Exist; the houses stand, that shelter us.

We only, with a light exchange of greeting,

pass all things by, and everything conspires

Against us, to keep silence; half in shame,

Perhaps, and half in hope unspeakable.
