pickHighly recommend this book! You should go in knowing as little about the story as possible. But what an emotional roller coaster! A masterful work of sci-fi storytelling! The format wasn't a gimmick, but purposeful and perfectly suited to the the story it was telling. LOVE. THIS. BOOK.

bailedThis Jane Eyre retelling didn't compare to the original. The childhood portion was decent, but my biggest complaint was the lack of tension between the Jane/Rochester characters. Just read Bronte instead.
The cashier girl at the bookstore couldn't stop gushing about her love for this book! Can't wait to dive in!

Enjoying this retelling of Jane Eyre. Though, got a tad confused regarding setting. The time period is post-WWII and yet at one point she was carrying around a torch?? 🤔🙃😅

This is my current audiobook for my commute to work. I often find myself getting frustrated with the main character, but am fascinated by the bits about music and the French Revolution.
Reading Sabaa Tabir's Torch Against the Night on this ❄️snowy❄️ Saturday morning. I have an interesting theory on Keenan's character and want to see if I'm right... But it's the kind of huge twist that I might not see til a later book.
