I have read endless amounts of books on cults, religious families and off the beaten path of zealous nature. This one was not only full of believable real life information, it was so well written, i felt like i was living part of the book. I really enjoyed this. I look forward to reading any other books that this author writes. The characters were so well developed, so full of real emotion and thoughts and actions. Such a well created story.

So bummed about this book. Not really much going on. Almost like i fell into a weird paragraph with no climax or plot. Just a rambling story. I was really looking forward to this one. Oh well, will still read her other stuff

This is so entertaining. My favorite character is the daughter Rae. Her sense of humor if awesome. I‘d like the story before this book regarding Kellen.

The Rule of Three | Eric Walters

What would you do to protect yourself? To survive? How do you determine who is important enough to save? Who would you risk your life for? Should the world end, as we know it, do you have the skills to survive? Do you adapt to change? Oh boy is my brain just a churning with questions while reading this....

I so enjoyed this book from the naivety of thinking you can do anything to the realization that it‘s false to the possibility that things may change. Unbelievably beautiful and sad and well written of the times. This book makes me want to go searching for more information on asylums.

lynneamch SO good, right! You might also like this one that addresses mental health so-called treatments for women in the early 1900s. 5y

I really enjoyed the first half of this book and then it did this weird, awkward twist and i ended up finishing it because i had no idea what happened. I keep hoping to get pulled back in to the fun and crazy antics. Unfortunately it was just crazy. Seeing the movie tomorrow. I love Cate Blanchett, so here‘s hoping....

The Third Mrs. Durst | Ann Aguirre

Ann Aguirre has been an instant buy since her Razorland Series which i reread at least once a year. The Third Mrs Durst kept that going as i read this in two days (would have been hours but sadly had to work). This was so well written, i just sat back and completely enjoyed the ride. There were so many wonderful twists and surprises. The main character was smart, funny, vulnerable and held her cards very close that even the reader was left out.

Listening to this one by audiobook was a good choice. Good suspense. Good story.

A little past halfway mark and i‘m just absorbing in all the amazing history and medical information. i‘m truly enjoying the method of writing, especially the way she‘s letting the story unfold. my favorite so far is a page on the history of Medicare/Medicare development (pg 167). It‘s sad and unnerving but so good.

so good. so different. really made me stop and think what i would do. really well written. i can feel the suspense bleeding off the page. most of the characters were good people put in bad situations. it was hard to know who to root for at times. HIGHLY recommend it!!
