I don't know if it's because of the author's culture and tone, but I felt like I was reading poetry the whole time. I love the bold expression of emotions, it kept me wanting to read one more chapter.
It was a rollercoaster! One minute, I admire the character's bravery and tenacity, next I get so worked up with his stubbornness. A true display of real human life.

10 Chapters in, and I can't put the book down. I was a little worried, since I just finished Eat Pray Love, and didn't care for it too much.
But Cheryl's raw honesty and emotion is very relatable.
It took a lot for me to actually finish the whole thing. It was like eating an extremely sweet bland candy. It was okay for a few bites, then rots your teeth.
It was like I was trapped in a conversation with a random lady in a dinner party who was so full of herself, but is a very good storyteller.
I did enjoy some of the whimsical adventures, but the narration was very self-absorbed.
