I love dystopian and James Patterson... so what could be better? What a great read... a brilliant pick me up after a heavy read. #jamespatterson #crazyhouse #ukcover #5starread

Set in a dystopian world (those two words are enough to make me pick a book up) parents are forced to surrender their children to work at the farms and mills or pay an extortionate tax. A fatal accident sees the main character, Vee running for her life and triggers a chain of events that may change the whole world forever. I loved this book!! So many twists and turns! I can't recommend enough.

It was a nice little read, a blend of fairy tale and Disney characters, the erratic writing style made it seem fast past even when the story line dragged. I didn't know much about the book before I started it, and so was very surprised by the overall theme.
A little to childish for me... but my daughter would love it!!
It was a nice break feel good break from more hard hitting reads.
Definitely for a younger YA audience.

Slow and steady read. Strong political, friendship and environmental themes. Beautifully poetic writing with a clear good and bad cast.
