This book was rage inducing with it‘s clichés, dated, sexist writing and cardboard characters. ? Why did EVERY sentence have to end with an exclamation point? And does anyone actually use ‘Hooo boy‘ anymore when exclaiming surprise? It‘s like I was stuck in some bad 50‘s movie. #LitsyAtoZ #abecedarianTBR #H #popsugar2020 #bookpublishedinthemonthofyourbirthday #december

Lifeisasnap I mean after all it is from the 80s, right? How do we judge a book in our time written for another time? I always have to remind myself that authors weren‘t writing what we know and believe, but what they lived through. They can‘t tell the future where beliefs and experiences change or even writing styles... 1w
throwmeabook That‘s very true @Lifeisasnap and I acknowledge that this was written during a different time but I‘ve read many of his books from this time (it was written in 1995) and thoroughly enjoyed them, writing style and all. This one is just not on the level I expect from James Patterson. 1w
Lifeisasnap That makes sense. 1w

Book #3.
I didn't mind this second book of the series, hoping it stays strong as I read through them

blurb
llistermann

I have read chapters 1-7. Alex Cross is going home and we were introduced to his Mom and his Aunt. I do not know what is going to happen next but I have to think he is going to be arrested because at the end of chapter 7 someone said a freeze.

I love James Patterson and I love reading full stop. But this book had me gripped from start to finish.
Took me two nights to read it, if it wasn't for life getting in the way I could easily have sat there and not put it down at all. So many twist and turns, you just have no idea what will happen next.
10/10 for me 👍

Not as good as most of his books.
Who killed their parents?
What are the pills the kids have been given their whole lives?

I‘ve loved this book from page one. This being the first book of the Women‘s Murder Club, I didn‘t know what to expect but Lindsey Boxer is awesome. I couldn‘t wait to read the whole series. You won‘t be disappointed and when you‘re done you‘ll be hungry for more! I‘ve read them all and can‘t wait for the next to hit the shelves.

Being the first Alex Cross novel, I wasn‘t sure what to expect, but I fell in love with the characters and storyline and couldn‘t wait to read the whole series. I read it in order and have never been disappointed. Definitely recommend starting this series.

Alora Love this movie! One of my favourites. Still need to read the book! 3w
