JanuarieTimewalker13 @Jess_Read_This ok, I'm sufficiently intrigued...I've never heard of this book before, but I love the writing of that period, so I ordered it used!! Can't wait to read it. Have you read Mama's Bank Account? By Kathryn Forbes? (I remember Mama was based on it, but that show predates my existence). Such a fun, quick and heartwarming read of the same period, but about a Norwegian immigrant family in Cali. 7y
