Pickpick

It‘s that time! #top9 fav books in 2020! This year, I set out to be current. I wanted to know what books people were talking about, what was going to be on best-of lists... and I still found that there was always something I was missing! Yet, of the 135 books I‘ve read (so far!), the majority were written this year, including the majority of my top 9, and it paid off with very few dislikes! Here‘s to 2021 being just as good 😌🥳🥂

Larkken If anyone else is as obsessed with stats as I, I kept track on goodreads and pushed my status updates to an airtable, like a good nerd 🤓:
135 read (5 re-reads), and 7 unfinished:
89% fiction, 50% on audio
Most prolific month: September
Most common rating: 3 1/2 stars out of five (so high!)
Author breakdown:
83% Americans, 68% females, 35% POC
10 books written by Seanan McGuire/Mira Grant (🥰)
To work on next year: more diversity!

sebrittainclark I spent so much time this month creating my 2021 reading list in google sheets. It's got stats, charts, and lots of fun overly complicated automations. 🤓🤓 3y
Cinfhen Thanks for posting! I love seeing what others enjoyed 😍 3y

Larkken @sebrittainclark do you use the “Read Harder” template or make your own? I love the charts and things in google sheets! ...but I also like using zapier to automate pushing books marked “read” in goodreads in my airtable spreadsheet that I end up using it more, lol. Lazy nerd, that‘s me, until the end of the year comes and I paste the list back into google for all the fun graphics, haha 3y
Larkken @Cinfhen end of year lists are the best! I love seeing everyone‘s favorites 🥰 3y
sebrittainclark @Larkken it began as a Read Harder template and I always check out the new ones for new ideas of stuff too add, but I'm a software engineer and very much have the mindset of "I can make this even better" when it comes to things like sheets formulas ?? 3y
Larkken @sebrittainclark that is awesome!! 3y
TieDyeDude The Only Good Indians was #10 on my list 🙂 I'm looking forward to reading Black Sun in 2021 3y
