Do you guys have a favorite word? Mine is crotchety. I love that word and I use it all the time and everyone likes to tell me that it's not a word. WELL HERE IT IS. I laughed so hard when I saw it. I'm most definitely going to be crotchety in my old age. Take that, people who don't know what words are!

drokka Sometimes I tell my dad he's crotchety. Love the word, though my favourite is obstreperous, with defenestration following quick on its heels. 7y
Josie @drokka hahahaha I LOVE crotchety old men. I used to work in a colonoscopy center, so I interacted with a lot of them and they cracked me up! I LOVE your favorite words. I'm going to start using them lol 7y
RiotMom HAHAHAHA my favorite is "persnickety". It's fun to say and describes me pretty accurately. 7y

Josie @RiotMom OHHH that's a great one!! 7y
Leniverse Ever since I read the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy some 20 years ago, I've had a fondness for the word "mindbogglingly". As well as the phrase "it boggles the mind". I find I get to use them a lot more frequently of late, mostly due to American politics. 7y
Debiw781 I love the word "discombobulated " 7y
Smashlee Ummmm, yes but it's usually cuss words I make up 😜 7y
Foxyfictionista My favourite word is ramekin. And I always feel compelled to say it three times. If I'm talking to someone other than my husband, I say it the first time as one normally would and then mutter it twice under my breath. It just rolls so nicely. 7y
JackOBotts My favorite word is boulevard. I love the way it's spelled and how it rolls off the tongue. 🤓 7y
Gayan @Smashlee It's because you're so good at it! 😂 I'll have to agree with you. Lately almost every word out of my mouth is some form of swear. 7y
Josie @Foxyfictionista I had to google it and listen to the pronunciation lol I totally get it! Good word 7y
Josie @Leniverse hahaha I love that!!! I'm going to start using "it boggles the mind" only because I'm having a hard time getting out mindbogglingly ? 7y
Josie @JackOBotts yaaaas. Boulevard is a sexy word for sure 7y
Josie @Smashlee @gayan those are THE BEST type of words lol Gayan and I were talking the other day and I'm pretty sure I called someone a fuck yard 7y
Foxyfictionista You should definitely start using it. Get a creme brulee kit and then you'll have lots of reasons to say it. And yummy desserts too! 7y
Josie @Debiw781 that word sums up my every day life lol 7y
Josie @Foxyfictionista um, any reason for a creme brûlée kit sounds FANTASTIC. 7y
Debiw781 @Josie mine too 😂😂 7y
[DELETED] 206653737 Definitely a word that I too use frequently. 7y
Smashlee What's that meme floating around? I don't like to think before I speak. I like to be surprised like everyone else. Yeah. That's me. 7y
Dragon I like "contrary" 7y
Josie @Dragon I literally use that word every chance I get 7y
Josie @Smashlee 😂😂😂😂 I have no doubt that we will get along wonderfully 7y
Smashlee Obviously! My poor boyfriend. 😳 this is his face so many times. All part of my charm! 7y
Dragon It just fits so many situations. My friend's cat 🐱 is particularly contrary 😀 7y
mom2bugnbee My favorite word is "indubidibly" (say it multiple times in succession -- you'll fall in love!), followed closely by "delicatessen". 7y
Josie @mom2bugnbee OMG YOU ARE RIGHT. I love them. I'm going to write all of these down lol 7y
Alfoster 😍😍😂😂👏👏😜😜! 7y
ReadingEnvy Thrum. And for a few years I've tracked it in Twitter with #thrumspotting 😎 7y
Josie @ReadingEnvy 😂😂😂 I admire the dedication!! 7y
OrangeMooseReads My favorites are ignorant (I've already taught my 8 yr old the difference between ignorant and stupid) my other favorite is indeed. I will use indeed as often as I possibly can. 7y
mom2bugnbee @OrangeMooseReads I use indeed a lot as well! Yay for like minds! And I always distinguish between ignorant & stupid. Very, very important distinction. 7y

First book completed for #24in48 Readathon! Loved the writing and insights into the Fulani people - also I've kept track of #thrumspotting instances for years in Twitter so had to share this one!
