Super Science Vol. 1 | N. Alessandro K.

This was such an entertaining graphic novel!

The premise was super fun. Basically, one day the sky turns purple and it causes people to create scientific breakthroughs and become superheroes and supervillains.

At times the story was somewhat hard to follow because of the many characters. However, there is a cast list at the end of the book.

I adore this series so much. This final book followed up with the same writing style and prose. Of which, now being older myself reading these, it‘s interesting that the story never seems to evolve. Which helps a lot with all these twists, but not with getting deep into it. In tune to this final one, I liked how the questions of morality came up, wanting a simply life, though felt a missed opportunity for taking it in depth.

story of a child who discovers their “superpowers“—like flying and making things disappear—aren't so super after all. But when things go wrong, the real superhero turns out to be someone unexpected!

It‘s a great reminder that real superpowers, like love and care, come from the people closest to us.

Thanks to @TheSpineView & @Eggs for the #Two4Tuesday tags! 🤗

1️⃣ Nothing unusual or that talented although I do have a head for random trivia & can remember the smallest details of facts of things I‘m interested in while forgetting where I parked my car 30 minutes ago! 😆

2️⃣ The Ribkin family has unusual & sometimes not that useful talents like making precise maps of places, belching fire & seeing colors no one else can see.🤷🏻‍♀️

TheSpineView I with you on the short term memory thing. Thanks for playing! 2y

A little choppy and disorganized at first, but the author found her stride and since it was my day off I was able to finish it in one sitting. Some things were totally unbelievable but I enjoyed it and am interested in reading the next one.

This story has a fun premise of kids with supernatural powers going on an adventure to find missing parents in a world where they have to hide their abilities. However, it‘s also very much a setup for a series. There is a lot of build up and and quite a bit of kid drama in order to get to a big event in just the last few chapters. The results of that event set up plenty more questions for the next book in the series.

Having an after school snack and wishing I could just keep reading more of this book instead of prepping for the rest of the week.
