I wasn‘t sure what book to pair with #LetItBe but I found this when I was researching the lyrics:
Concerning the song's title, Paul relates in his book "The Lyrics" that this may have been a subliminal recollection from his past. "One interesting thing about 'Let It Be' that I was reminded of only recently is that, while I was studying English literature at the Liverpool Institute High School for Boys with my favorite ⬇️
All the songs written by Paul McCartney while in the Beatles, with Wings, and as a solo artist. Filled with brief bios of what went into writing and the inspiration for each song. Covers his hits as well as songs you may never have heard of. Loved reading this.
Time flies and we are now in August! Continuing with @Eggs and @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks prompt, #theboss has me thinking of The Boss himself 😅 #conflictedworlds
Such a gorgeous book, I felt so privileged reading Joni Mitchell‘s lyrics and poems in facsimiles of her handwriting and so many of her paintings on luscious thick art paper. A beautiful book, occasionally a challenge to read cause she does some very odd capital letters, but I was always awestruck by her mind as I was reading.
I love Leonard Cohen. Sometimes I found this a little dense to get through, but I‘m still marking it as a pick because the pieces I loved, I reeeaaallllyy loved. #poetry
Good morning Litsy family! I‘ve had a lovely Christmas morning with my parents, now taking a bath before going to my aunts for the first of my multiple Christmas dinners (living my best vicar of dibley life). My parents got me some wonderful books as well as food and candles that are going to make all my winter reading time so cosy and hyggelig! So grateful for these hardback beauties I could never have afforded otherwise. How are you guys doing?

Not my most prolific month. With house guest, hubby‘s medical crap and my retail job busyness, I‘ve been distracted, but I really enjoyed everything.
I‘ve seemed to have be drawn to a lot of 20th century classics this year... and this month the Waugh and the Durrell were both wonderful!
Also loved the Ocean Vuong, Fleishman and my birthday gift of Joni Mitchell gorgeousness!
My two rereads, (Rabbit and December) were both a joy!
