I mostly read nonfiction in April, so this was a hard choice.

Murder Most Royal (Her Majesty the Queen Investigates 3), by S.J. Bennett (2022)
Premise: Her Majesty‘s Christmas celebrations are interrupted by the discovery of a severed hand on the beach near her Sandringham Estate, a hand bearing a signet ring she instantly recognizes.
Review: This is another solid entry in this charming series. The Christmas vibes were fun, and the setting of the end of 2016 added an interesting element to the story.

I‘m really enjoying this series - Rozie is great and there‘s something delightful about the Queen solving mysteries. Bennett rounds out her cast of characters nicely, this time with a couple of quirky aristocrats and villagers, and constructs a fun little romp of a mystery.
11-8-23: My 94th finished book of 2023! Book 3 in the series about Queen Elizabeth II being a secret sleuth. I‘m this story, the Queen is spending Christmas at Sandringham, her rural retreat, when an old acquaintance and family friend goes missing. With the help of her assistant personal secretary, Rozie, the Queen gets down to the bottom of things when the police don‘t. This series is a nice reminder of the Queen. ⭐️⭐️⭐️📖#️⃣9️⃣4️⃣
Lovely addition to the series; I really enjoy seeing Rozie grow j to the position and it‘s such fun getting (faux) glimpses into the royal household. Additionally, it‘s always such a gentle read that I find it relaxing to meander through the whole mystery.
My reign pizza to pair with my royal book. This series continues to delight me, I hope there are a few more (it‘s 2016 in this story so maybe it‘s possible) maybe Charles can take over 🤷🏻♀️ afterwards.
Best day ever! I got the euro released version of the latest S J Bennett here yesterday ❤️❤️ doesn‘t come out in NA until the end of September
