interestingly the people who wrote in contributions to this book said that their biggest barriers to polyamory were social stigma and illegibility (not jealousy or logistics). Not a particularly rigorous sample though

Diving into the third installment in the Dark Olympus series. With the series coming to an end next year, it‘s time I get caught up. #honeymoon #beachday

We do not care that our panties were inside out all day yesterday. At least we were wearing them!
We tried going commando once. We dropped our panties on the wet floor in the locker room after swimming, so we had no choice. We did not like it.

Low pick, mostly because of the aforementioned #undramaticirony. It did get revealed in the next chapter. I also felt that all the conflicts were resolved too easily. However, I loved all the characters and found the main three all relatable in different ways, which was nice. The poly and queer rep felt very true to life, and I just loved the endings (it felt like the last two chapters and the epilogue were all different endings)!
Gah. I was excited for this polyamorous romance and really enjoying it so far. Then I hit the halfway point and the main character reads some paperwork and discovers!!! Some DRAMA!!!
No idea what the drama is.
I‘m annoyed. I‘m going to give it one more chapter. If the drama isn‘t revealed by the end of that chapter, this is a DNF (and maybe even if the drama is revealed).
Really interesting and juicy and fun look at an open marriage.

This book was filled with unbridled feminine rage and I was here for it for the most part. I will say though that it was a little emotionally exhausting by the end because that much rage is exhausting even when it's not your own.

Picked this up because I heard about it on a podcast. Mel is a bartender and she is flirting with this woman at the bar and finds out she‘s married. Then she finds out they‘re poly. At the same time she‘s trying to keep everything casual because she‘s scarred from her divorce. She also learns about this cocktail/bartender contest and is working towards creating a cocktail for it. I liked this one!

Queen of Dreams by Kit Rocha is my pick for February #readingbracket2025. It's one of those rare series where the first book is good, but somehow the second book is even better.
