Sisters in Arms: A Novel | Kaia Alderson

Missed the January book for #overbookclub so started early on February‘s read. It‘s really good! And it talks about Des Moines as one of the first places for WAC officers. It is really weird to hear Iowa mentioned as I‘m not used to my hometown area being a prominent place in a book. And since this is historical fiction, now I‘m going to have to go on a hunt for more info and sight seeing. 🤔🙂

Lindy That‘s cool. I love finding my home city in the books I‘m reading. 2y
JaclynW So cool! I love when my hometown/home state get mentioned. Funny how exciting it is. 😄 This book looks great! 2y
megnews I love when my area is mentioned. Learning new things and going on searches for more info is one of my favorite things about historical fiction. 2y

This was my list of anticipated releases last year. I have read 3 with one coming up in January. @megnews I didn't do any better then you. Wait until you see this year's upcoming releases, I found a lot more. Hopefully I'll do better next year. #TBRtoBeContinued #TheresAlwaysNextYear

megnews Chateau was so good. I really liked The Children‘s Blizzard too. 2y
megnews Four Winds I keep meaning to get to. I‘ve also started a list of 2022 releases. I can‘t imagine I‘ll do much better on them but it‘s worth adding them for later anyway. 😂 2y

3✨ This was a lot of book. A history of a French home and name I was not familiar with. I am sure I missed details, but you cannot help but be inspired by the three women who made sacrifices to protect others. Read for #overbookclub
