Finished this one last weekend for April‘s #ChildrensClassicRead2025 First published in 1957, I‘m not sure how I missed this one growing up especially since the author‘s The Story of Holly and Ivy was a holiday favorite as a child. This is a quick & sweet read about Bonnie, a baby mouse who gets pushed out of her family‘s crowded flowerpot & finds a mouse house to live in. The illustrations are wonderful. 🐭🏠

Just soooo sweet! I want to read this to every child I know! Another winner from @TheBookHippie ‘s #ChildrensClassicRead .

Thanks to @TheBookHippie and #ChildrensClassicRead2025 for reminding me that I had this sweet (tagged) book waiting on my shelves. And, as others have mentioned, the illustrations are gorgeous!
I always pick up these New York Review Children‘s Collection editions when I spot them in used bookshops.

I enjoyed this sweet little story of Mary and her mouse house but mostly I enjoyed the illustrations, they felt very nostalgic for my childhood reading days.

Such a cute book with adorable illustrations! 🐭 🏡
I finally read an archive book that @TheBookHippie shared the link of.
It‘s much easier to read on my computer than my phone. 🤩
I love the library card 🩵
Juniata College Library is now named L A Beeghly Library & Juniata College was founded in 1876 by members of the Church of the Brethren.

4 ⭐This is the story of a young child who moves into a new apartment. They‘re not happy with the new apartment but they have a birthday for it. And Dad grants the child three “anything” wishes. They include a rainbow, for it not to be Thursday, and a giant slice of pizza. This is a sweet story. The art is unique. The story may be a little hard for someone to understand, but I like the idea behind it.
