Immediate thought upon completing the book: lame...

Throughout the book all I got was a feeling of “meh” that I could not shake. Occasionally I may have smirked but that‘s about the extent of enjoyment this book gave me. I don‘t even know what to say about it...just meh.

And it has me wondering, how has this won a Pulitzer?!?! Maybe I am just not meant to gain enjoyment from Pulitzer winning works...I just don‘t know. 🤷🏻‍♀️

This was referring to letting kids struggle and work things out themselves, but I find this is a nice reminder that even though we ALL struggle something good is part of it. It builds hope. 💚
