Fortunately??!!!
Not a lot of reading this week but since I‘m resolved to not be a Litsy stranger again … BEHOLD my triumph over a skirting board! 🤣 This wretched thing was glued, nailed, painted and carpeted in. It took two days, a plant lever, half my tool box and the invention of a number of new expletives to get it loose but now the cabinet that‘s going there will fit flush to the wall (after I deal with the TV antenna) 🥳🥳🥳🥳
For young readers this series I'm finding out is a solid way to entertain and introduce history to Juv readers without overwhelming them details they may not fully understand. It's a fun way to educate and hook a young reader into enjoying nonfiction reads
I am posting one book per day from my extensive to-be-read collection. No description and providing no reason for wanting to read it, I just do. Some will be old, some will be new. Don‘t judge me - I have a lot of books. Join in if you want!

What a coinkydink- I‘m reading about 10/22 on 10/22!
This is the date Marie- Antoinette‘s son, Louis- Joseph was born, 10/22/1781
Poor Marie Antoinette.
Bad omen:
The celebratory fireworks for her marriage to the future king of France (at age 15)
killed several by fires and trampling!
