This story was perfect. Absolutely. Loved every second, and it ended far too soon. I want to read it again very very soon 🤍 There‘s magic, romance, quirky characters, an ocean village, tons of plant chat, diversity (ok the bar is kinda low on that one but nonetheless)

ItsAnotherJen Looking forward to reading this! Everyone says such good things about it 3y
Nalbuque I went into it with no knowledge of the plot, but I had heard good things!!! It did not disappoint in the slightest 🖤🖤🖤 3y

This collection was a lot of fun: raunchy, humorous and flamboyant. I wasn't sure about the old-school-detective-style interior monologue at first, but it grew on me quickly. And it was interesting to see how the author's voice changed story to story as they were written over a number of years. Would definitely recommend and read again. 4/5 #lqbtq+ #junereads #shortstories #specfic

@RealLifeReading
Sorry - day late - friends came over and didn't get chance to post last night.
John Boyne is awesome 😀

Andrew65 I need to read more John Boyne, only read The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas. What would you recommend? 7y
TrishB I would recommend all of them 😀 lol. Try The Absolutist for WW1 (for a change!) Or The House of Special Purposes for the russian revolution or The Heart's Invisible Furies just for a very good book! 7y
