This a self portrait of the artist David Wojnarowicz. The story of his life played a prominent role in a book that I finished recently by Olivia Laing-“Lonely City”. It was my introduction to his work, and I was fascinated. Last week, one of my social media sites posted that there was an exhibit at the Whitney Museum in NYC of his art, and it was the final week. So happy that I was able to make the trip, inspired by a book. #literaryfieldtrip

DivineDiana @Leftcoastzen Thank you! I do want to read more about him. I was so inspired. 6y
Reggie I cannot tell you how many artists I‘ve been introduced to this year by books I‘ve read. It is awesome as is your post. 6y

A little literary trip to The House of the Seven Gables & Nathaniel Hawthorne's house. The youngest read it as part of summer reading so since we were close we took a field trip. 📚🏚️

Lcsmcat ❤️literary field trips! We took our kids to see the Laura Ingalls Wilder home, and camped on the shores of Silver Lake when they were elementary age and we all had a blast. 7y
