Jaws | Peter Benchley

I'm a day late and a photo short because yesterday was a rough day, but I found Matt Hooper in Jaws the film a way better character than in the book. Funnier and more pleasant. You actually want him to survive in the film. #likedthecharacterbetterinthemovie #Octphotochallenge @LibrarianRyan

I really enjoyed Mansfield Park, but Fanny was a bit of a disappointing protagonist for me. She didn't really do much; just let things happen to her. I loved Francis O'Conner as Fanny in the 1999 adaptation though. Using Jane Austen's letters/writing as a passion for Fanny gave her something to do while others around her pushed the plot forwards. #octphotochallenge #likedthecharacterbetterinthemovie #classic

I found the decent into madness was much more interesting in the movie. Leo did an amazing job as he always does. Especially in his younger years. Although the book character was British. I prefer ed the American angle. Could definately feel the youth and the need of freedom and it's consequences. #likedthecharacterbetterinthemovie #octphotochallenge #muchlove

britt_brooke I haven't read the book, but I loved this movie! 8y
BookBoggart I spent a couple years looking for a copy. Wasn't till I moved that I actually found one. I really liked it! I love the movie though. 8y
Texreader I'll have to check this movie out. I thought he was great in The Aviator. That's when I started appreciation his acting skills. 8y

I tried to think of one who hadn't been posted yet, but failed. I wasn't a fan of Bridget Jones's Diary (or the sequel) as a book but I loved the movies and her character in them. I still need to see the new movie. 🎶All by myself...Don't wanna be all by myself...Anymore! 🎶 #LikedtheCharacterBetterIntheMovie #octphotochallenge

Bookworm54 The new movie is so good! I preferred it to edge of reason 😊 8y
Dragon The new movie was funny and silly like Bridget and most of the gang returned 😃 8y
Bookzombie @Dragon Good to know. May have to give up reading time and go see it. 😉 8y
Bookzombie @Bookworm54 Yay, glad to hear it. 🙂 8y

As good as the book was, this is the rare case where everything was better in the movie! #LikedTheCharacterBetterInTheMovie #OctPhotoChallenge

DGRachel I still haven't read that book. I really should... 8y

I definitely #likedthecharacterbetterinthemovie of Aibileen from The Help. This is one instance where I overall liked the movie much more than I liked the book. That never happens! #octphotochallenge

MrsV I agree! If it was anyone other than Viola Davis, I don't think it would have been the same. She DESERVED that Oscar! 8y
the_hibernator Haven't seen the movie. Guess I should. 8y
Melkyl @MrsV She was great! 8y
Melkyl @the_hibernator I really enjoyed the movie. 8y

The 1995 BBC adaptation of P&P is my all time favorite, and Colin Firth might just have a wee bit to do with that. 😍 I liked Mr. Darcy in the book, but this Mr. Darcy is absolutely perfect, just as he is😘 #octphotochallenge #likedthecharacterbetterinthemovie @LibrarianRyan

In my opinion, everything about the movie adaptation for The Ultimate Gift was better than the book, especially the characters. The actors brought to life all the potential lost in the book! ~ #Day3 #LikedTheCharacterBetterInTheMovie #octphotochallenge #bookphotochallenge ~ @LibrarianRyan

This movie is my exception to the "book is always better" rule. I basically like the entire cast even more in the movie than in the book. And I love the book. #likedthecharacterbetterinthemovie #octphotochallenge

The book didn't seem to me particularly scary, but Kathy Bates in the movie...she is so damn creepy😨😰😱👿
