This book has some great names in it: Emilienne, Margeaux, Henry, Beatrix (one of my absolute faves! It just has the cutest nicknames ever. Plus, the Beatrix Potter association? It truly cannot be beat).

What are some of your favorite names?

Reviewsbylola I see Viviane on there—I really wanted to name one of my daughters Vivienne. Margaux is pretty and reminds me of one of my great grandmothers, Marguerite. As it is, my daughters are named after two of my other great grandmothers, Genevieve and Florence. ♥️♥️ 6y

monalyisha @MissAimz_55 Boy names are hard! I like Maxwell Rudolph (“Little Mister” - MR. Rudolph was my grandfather‘s name). I think Arthur/Art is great, too. And Andrew/Drew. 6y

I read “The Scorpio Races” years ago but my memory‘s awful so I decided to check out the audiobook. So glad I did! Stiefvater‘s created yet another fully-realized heroine in Puck Connolly, the romance is sexy & heartwarming, & the setting is so vivid!Thisby - an invented island that‘s “quasi-Irish/Scottish” - is a character itself; I wish I could visit - harsh November winds, killer waterhorses & all! The actors who voice Puck & Sean are on point.

monalyisha Honestly, though, I don‘t know (if I were an islander) that I‘d want a regular ol‘ horse entered in the races, either! (I‘m sure my #grlpwr feminist leanings would dominate those misgivings pretty quickly & effectively... but after Puck changes things, what‘s to stop tourists from entering the races in droves?) "The McKinley Memorial...is a domed edifice on top of a hill. It‘s a gray granite nipple on a fresh green breast of grass." I'll be honest, having a tombstone that looks like a boob doesn't even sound that bad. #grlpwr ???

If not though, I just want a fox to lounge around on my book-shaped grave all day. Is that so much to ask? And the epitaph should read, "Late to her own funeral." #timeisaconstruct

TobeyTheScavengerMonk Mark Gruenwald had his ashes mixed in with the ink of a posthumous collection of the Squadron Supreme comic book series that he wrote. Now "ashes editions" are super rare collectibles. I have never been able to decide if this is cool or horrifying. 7y
