How cool are these prints?! I love David Bowie more than most other things, so I‘d love these on my wall! 👩‍🎤👨‍🎤⚡️🏳️‍🌈🌈

MySharonaK Gorgeous 😍 5y
Connster @MySharonaK Isn‘t it cool?! I really want it on my wall! The guy who designs them on Etsy does lots of different artists and albums...I could easily spend a fortune in his store! 5y
MySharonaK @Connster oh wow I definitely want this on my wall as well. Bowie ∞ 5y

I did my own #marchintothe70s with this book. I usually have little patience for overlong books on popular music (this was 687 pages), but I loved the essay style of each chapter. David Bowie was, unsurprisingly, a thread in almost every chapter, but otherwise the chapters were quite self-contained, which really kept me interested. Needless to say, my “Glamorama” playlist has been getting quite a workout recently! 👩🏻‍🎤🎵 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Lizpixie This sounds fantastic! #stacked 5y
Susannah @Lizpixie, it was fun. You‘ll just want to warn your family, friends, and neighbors that David Bowie, T. Rex, and many other glam rock bands will be in heavy rotation while you‘re reading it! 😉 5y

gradcat @tournevis I know, right? It‘s just gorgeous!! 🥰🎶 5y
gradcat @Trashcanman I‘ve been missing you! How‘s work? I have had a couple of mishaps (illness, accidents, etc.) that have kept me off of my iPad...hopefully it‘s all settling down. How are you feeling? I hope all is well, and I‘m very happy to hear from you! I thought you might have forgotten me 😊😊😊 5y

Excellent song-by-song analysis of Bowie's golden period, from Space Oddity to Scary Monsters, plus a brief biographical sketch of his origins and early career. Clearly modelled on Ian McDonald's Beatles opus Revolution In the Head it's clearly one for the hardcore fan but could hardly be bettered.

1. No. I thought long and hard about this one, but there are so many things I wouldn't want to change so it is too risky!
2. Yes. There must be, but what it looks like I'm not sure we can imagine.
3. Yes. It did not go well. See @Literary_Siren 's Carolyn Keene post for the story!
4. Yes, all the time.

MinDea Wow...deep questions! 6y
Bostonmomx2 I‘m curious about the story for #3 but I can‘t find it....can you tag me? 6y
TheKidUpstairs @Bostonmomx2 I just looked at her post, and there are a lot of comments! In elementary school I was tasked with writing a letter to a favourite author. I absolutely adored Nancy Drew, so I wrote to Carolyn Keene. Other kids got great replies for their authors, I got a boring form letter from a publisher. That's how I discovered that Keene was herself a fictional creation. It hurt my young booknerd soul. 6y
Bostonmomx2 @TheKidUpstairs awww that‘s so sad. 6y
wanderinglynn Thanks for playing! 😀 6y
