Raw visual poetry about loneliness, love, how the two might intersect, and the wildness of life. It‘s quite sad, and I see myself in some of these images when my mental health is taking a turn…. I felt connected to this in that way. #foundonlitsy #bookspinbingo #doublespin

This was an incredible story. I‘ve got a huge interest in cults and I didn‘t know much going into this one. Carolyn‘s stories were shocking, enraging, and at times unbelievable. Her escape is incredible and she sounds like an especially strong woman. Great listen!

I‘m having this fulfill the #foundonlitsy slot as I‘d probably never would‘ve come across it otherwise

I can now understand why everyone is so impressed with this debut. A detective story, a psychological thriller, and a family drama all rolled into one. It highlights the pain of being different (being Russian-American I can somewhat understand), the weight of expectations, and the harm or misunderstanding. It also highlights the power of hope, and the strength of family. A difficult book to read, but an important one. #foundonLitsy #debut 5/5
