I was easily transported back to NYC late 1980‘s before cellphones, Google and those early days of the AIDS epidemic when there was so much paranoia & misinformation. First half of book was stronger than the second half but still plenty to unravel. A young girl secretly befriends her uncle‘s partner after he passes from AIDS.
