I am currently about an hour south of Hollywood! I loved this version of Sense and Sensibility! A really fun retelling with some original storylines as well as still recognizable to Austen fans.
Wow! This book was a tangled web of lies, sex, and backstabbing….oh, and death. The ending of this book was pretty shocking and somewhat sad, even if the character that has the most tragic end was a pretty horrible person. Very well written and the dialogue had me chuckling and cringing. I loved it! I would give this 4.3 stars.
Special thanks to NetGalley for providing me this ARC.
Book 3 of 2025. Four stars for the story, which follows two boys growing up in an isolated tribe in the Amazon. The only thing I didn‘t like, explained in the author‘s note, is that almost everything in the story is made up - the tribe isn‘t real, some of the plants and animals named aren‘t real, and most of the language the “Takunami” tribe uses is made up. The story is based on an idea about unknown tribes in the jungle. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This is a humorous novel that had to grow on me. The premise is silly - a reality show of Americans set in Sweden with Swedish heritage. The characters are well developed, and I particularly enjoyed learning so much about the geography, culture and customs of Sweden and Swedes.
Anyone else get the new #kindle colorsoft? I kind of love it 🥰 . Really liking all these books too
A bighearted story about an American woman cast in a Swedish reality show written by an American woman who was cast in a Swedish reality show.
“Memory —by its very nature unreliable—is what allows us to retroactively create the blueprints of our lives, because it is often impossible to make sense of our lives when we‘re inside them, when the narratives are still unfolding.”
Hauntingly beautiful, with a “just-right” ending…🩵🩵🩵
