Up next on audio…not quite sure if it‘s a mystery or a romance? 🎧

So I was loving this book in the first half but my cynical self kept casting doubts on a few silly plot points. Soft pick, and certainly a recommended book if you like family drama. Everyone was likeable and I cheered for a positive ending. Sad stuff, though. Marriage is hard. Humans are complicated. #July2025 Book60

Pumpkin Pie mentioned at 35%. You can usually count on a Thanksgiving scene to have a pie mention. #iLovePie

Overall I enjoyed the book, but I did struggle some with the characters. I think the alternating past and present chapters was right for this story, but I found it sometimes interrupted the flow too. The difficult topics were handled well and there was depth and emotion throughout that really carried the plot.

This book had a lot going on! I felt it dragged at times, but overall was engaged in the story. It was very anxiety provoking at times bc of the type of relationship 1 of the narrators is in. It‘s a heavy read @ times & lighter @ others. As Evie tries 2 get her memory back more plot lines r introduced. I was satisfied w/ how the story came together. I really cared about Evie & Drew as characters. I‘d be intrigued to read the author‘s other work.

I was initially drawn to this book of course because from the cover and title it was obviously about books to some degree which is always a huge draw card for me but it was so much more than a cute bookstore read. I loved being along for Emma's self discovery journey and seeing how she grew and developed relationships with people and reconnections in her life. A delightful read that will leave you with a warm heart and a smile on your face.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

A book about bookish people and bookshops? Sign me up. I fell head over heels into this book and loved every minute of it! Though, I did feel that the ending was a bit rushed

An enjoyable rom-com, getting to know oneself story. Emma escapes to Amherst for 6 weeks from the demands of her family and seeking happiness. She believes emulating Emily Dickinson will get her there. Her misadventures and meeting Davis help her to discover herself and what she wants out of life.
