Day 21 of the #botmbookclubseptphotochallenge: Paperback pile

Have you read any of these? They are all TBR books for me but I‘m trying to figure out what thrillers and creepy reads I want to add to my October TBR. These are some top contenders. Tell me what you would recommend, even if it isn‘t in this pile.

Laughterhp I got the same pumpkins at Target! 🤣 5y
BookDragonNotWorm I've read Final Girls, definitely good for a Halloween read! 5y
abookishbutterfly @Laughterhp Haha! I bought three of them. They‘re so cute! 5y

Day 18: Your reading spot #botmbookclubseptphotochallenge

Where do you love to snuggle up and read at home? My favorite spot is our #yogibo double. I love to lounge with a good book and my Van Gogh quilt!

Amiable I absolutely adore your quilt! 5y

Day 17: A Book of the Month pile #botmbookclubseptphotochallenge

I get so excited when my #BOTM box arrives each month! So excited! It‘s as if I cannot live without those books! Yet all of these remain unread! 😂🤷‍♀️

If you do Book of the Month, are good at staying on top of actually reading them?

JenReadsAlot Not even close! 5y
EKonrad I‘m terrible at tackling my botm TBR! 😩 5y

#botmbookclubseptphotochallenge Day 16: Your Book Crush.

I love Grey from A Curse So Dark and Lonely and Weylyn from Beasts of Extraordinary Circumstance. The funny thing is that Weylyn‘s last name is Grey! I‘d say this must mean I love male characters with Grey in their name but I can assure you I have no interest in ever getting to know the infamous Christian Grey. 🤷‍♀️

Who are your book character loves?

Sweetkokoro I ended up hating A Curse So Dark and Lonely, but I will admit I fell head over heels for Grey (specially when he started playing with the kids in the snow, that stuff is my weakness XD) other than that I fell super hard for Matthias from Six of Crows. 5y
bookladyreads It was the opposite for me. I absolutely loved A Curse So Dark and Lonely, and I adored Grey. I'm super amped and ready to read A Heart So Fierce and Broken. 5y

bookladyreads @Butterflyamore I was debating on whether I should pre-order A Heart So Fierce and Broken or just get it from the bookstore the day it launches. 5y
abookishbutterfly @bookladyreads I preordered it. You can get a little quote poster with the preorder, if that influences your decision at all! 5y
bookladyreads @Butterflyamore I just want it the day it comes out. When you pre-order the book, is it delivered on the pub day? 5y
abookishbutterfly @bookladyreads preorders are supposed to arrive by pub day, if not before. 5y

Today‘s prompt for the #botmbookclubseptphotochallenge on Instagram is a beautiful cover. That seems like a cruel requirement. How am I supposed to pick just one? I have plenty of others I could have thrown into this photo as well but here are some of the covers that I love.

How inclined are you to judge a book by its cover? I will confess that the cover aesthetic largely determines whether or not I read the synopsis!

ShyBookOwl A good cover paired with an intriguing title will definitely draw me in! I'm also an e-reader, so when I do decide to buy a physical book, it's usually because I already read it and loved it and now I'm just hunting out a beautiful edition to display. 5y

So I‘m on Day 7 of the #botmbookclubseptphotochallenge on Instagram, yellow covers, and I realized that, despite loving the color, I definitely don‘t have a lot of yellow books in my collection. How about you? Does yellow make much of an appearance on your bookshelf?

marleed I only have a couple yellow spines. A few more if I put the jackets on. My front room shelves surrounding the tv are filled with books colored for the season. I use yellow at Easter and Back-to-school August so I‘m always excited when a new book has a yellow spine! 5y

For Day 6 of the #botmbookclubseptphotochallenge on Instagram, I give you a vintage read! Do you have any special old books? I mainly have vintage poetry books but I do have a few treasured childhood favorites and some interesting and rare Alice in Wonderland related books.

I‘m on Day 5 of the #botmbookclubseptphotochallenge on Instagram: Current Reads! What are you reading now? Aside from the two in the picture, I am also reading an ebook called Lock Me In by Kate Simants, which is due out next month. Definitely keep an eye out for it if you like thrillers!

I put together this rainbow of books for the #botmbookclubseptphotochallenge on Instagram! I am a little annoyed that my indigo looks rather black in the photo! Haha! Can you guess how many of these books I‘ve actually read?

marleed Well, I read Recursion. You welcome to take my count! 5y
