panI was really curious and excited about this book and I hate to say that it is very disappointing. I wish there we more creative ideas and the book lived up to it's premise which is releasing a demon upon reading it. Just for the novelty of the premise it was worth reading it for me. however, it really underdelivers and there isn't much going for it.

Clive Barker is definitely one of my heros. I discovered his horror first, like many, but his fantasy is out of this world. Such a rare and unique wealth of imagination. He shows me things I've never seen before, which is always amazing. (I also love cracked spines on well read paperbacks) sign of a well loved book 📚

Both Doug Bradley and Clive Barker went to my kids secondary school - there's quite a bit about them in the school. The Hellraiser film was amazing when it first came out so scary and amazing.
