As part of my #balletreads challenge I picked this one. Very in-depth analysis of the history of ballet. Things addressed varied from the history of Danish and Italian as well as Russian and British and America ballet companies to introductions of some of the most influential dancers. Well worth the read if you‘re a lover of ballet or just being introduced for the first time. #ballet #springread

As part of my #balletreads challenge I downloaded this from the KU program. This is a strong coming of age story. Marta is 17 in 1958 and she‘s finally been selected to join a ballet company. The book covers a year in Marta‘s life and really touches on important issues dancers face in reality. Solid read. #readingchallenge2022

For publishing year 2021 I chose this one and I LOVED it! Set in Russian and French during WWI a Russian princess and ballet dancer with her family flee Russia where she meets a Scottish Lord/doctor. Romance and history and intrigue. I truly enjoyed this one. #19822022 #balletreads #100readchallenge #readingchallenge2022 @Librarybelle

I picked this one for my year long ballet themed reading challenge as a kindle freebie and I was pleased to find it was a sweet romance. Less than 200 pages it‘s a quick and fun read. #balletreads #100readschallenge #romantsy

I selected this read for the year 2001 in my 40 year reading challenge. I was always such a huge fan of her and reading her memoir was truly inspiring. #balletreads #19822022 @Librarybelle

This is the second book in the duet centered around a ballet school. Bette, June, Gigi are all back and it picks up where book one left off. I have to say I loved this series, the characters and storyline. #balletreads #100bookchallenge #balletthemedreads
