We‘re just about to roll into day 10 of #AugustARC and here is my progress so far! My ratings have been all over the place, but mostly on the high end of the bar. My favourites so far include The Dream Daughter, Just Like Home, Widow Falls, andThe High Tide Club.

Least favourite was easily Secret Seduction, which was a surprise for me, since I normally like Jill Sanders books.

Next on the list for #AugustARC! I had another that was an old title I should get through but I've been meaning to read this one for a while so came back to the newer releases side 😆 let's see if it's good #netgalley

I started this book feeling not entirely convinced but wow was I not able to stop reading once things picked up! It's a really interesting world of magic and payments, we follow two twin sisters who were separated when they were young, forced to start their training to do two opposing duties, one as the Firebird, feared and detested by all, the other as Queen, forced to manipulate all her relations. It's a story of healing, trusting, & betrayal

This collection transitions from shallow, sad poetry to trite Christian poetry. It reminds me of creative writing classes in middle school, down to the unnecessary commas and clumsy rhyming. I cannot recommend this book. #ARC #Netgalley #AdvanceReadingCopy
