At only 2h41m, I was interested to see what sort of advice this beauty maven had to bestow on the world, and I was pleasantly surprised. panI wasn‘t a fan. But it doesn‘t help that Libby only had this on audio and I didn‘t love the narrator. This is a sweet MG coming out story, but I didn‘t feel like it had much depth. All the conflicts seemed overly engineered. It‘s written in verse, but I didn‘t really get anything of that on the audio, so I‘m not too impressed with the poetry. panEven with the bad reviews I wanted to give this one a chance because it sounded so good. I think where this struggles is as a novella I feel like it should have focused more on the ghost story and not the melodrama of the unlikeable characters.
