5-15-21: My 48th finished book of 2021! I didn‘t see the ending coming which I love! Elin and her boyfriend, Will, are on holiday in the Swiss Alps for her brother‘s engagement party, when his fiancé disappears. They are staying at Le Sommet, a hotel that had once been a TB sanatorium. Much goes wrong and Elin, a detective from the UK, is forced to figure it all out. Fast paced with lots of twists. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ???#️⃣4️⃣8️⃣ #thesanatorium

#Netgalley #ARC #TheSanatorium

Suspend disbelief and go along for the ride.

New take on the locked room mystery can easily see this being turned into a visually stunning movie.

Quick read that kept me guessing

@Bookish_AF Received this today! Looking forward to reading it!

dragondrool I finished it yesterday. It's pretty decent for a first book, but I wanted a creepy, twisty ending, and didn't get it. 2y
EadieB @dragondrool sorry you got disappointed in the end. I hate when that happens! 2y
Bookish_AF I am glad it arrived safely !! 2y
dragondrool @EadieB I wasn't disappointed. I just love creepy, twisty endings. Especially so when the setting just screams for it.

Spending a few hours of my Saturday morning reading #thesanatorium by Sarah Pearse.

It‘s been quite creepy so far. What do you think of it?

veritysalter I enjoyed it, a few plot holes, but good on the whole. Definite creeps, I‘m not sure I‘d like to stay in a former Sanatorium, especially with medical equipment on display! 2y
Dan_1988 @veritysalter haha, I mean staying in an old Sanatorium is not on my bucket list, but it would definitely be an unforgettable experience 🤣 2y
