Such a great twisty thriller.
Such a great twisty thriller.
I flew through this and loved it. Maybe it wasn‘t *perfect* but it‘ll sit there in my brain for a long time, and what more can I really ask for…
(& another solid pick from @AardvarkBookClub 🎉)
Between a pick and so-so for me, or 3 stars. Not my favourite Keyes, for sure (but I will continue the series haha).
I found Rachel hard to tolerate; for most of the book I wanted to smack her across the face (a reaction not relegated only her).
But obviously I liked it enough to keep reading.
Loved the setting, but the characters/plot/reveals were just okay.
The Clinic should be bumped up your TBR if...
🥶 you take ice baths ... for FUN
🍽️ you‘re the most adventurous eater you know
🃏 you‘ve been told you have a stellar poker face
🔎 you need to see things to believe them
🚙 you would 100% roadtrip up the Pacific coast
🐈 your cat is mean but you love her anyways
🤫 you have a celebrity relative

This was entertaining enough if I didn‘t think about it too much and just consumed it as a creepy and wild popcorn thriller. I respect the author‘s personal journey with addiction and sobriety (although thankfully her rehabilitation center was not like the one in this book). #Aardvark #AardvarkBookClub
This moved into ridiculously far fetched territory by the end. I mean just bonkers land, which ended up ruining it for me. I didn‘t bail @dabbe but I should have. 😂😂
An undercover investigator gets word that her estranged, famous sister has died in rehab. She has an addiction problem herself, so she checks into the clinic to investigate the death and finds that they use very strange techniques there! #aardvark
We're in Florida for the week visiting my snowbird parents. I could happily read on the beach all day, but everyone else started whinning about silly things like being hungry, and not wanting to miss the Super Bowl. 😮💨
From the critically acclaimed author of Black Widows comes a thriller set in a remote rehab clinic on the Pacific Northwest coast, in which the death of a woman inside prompts her sister to enter the clinic as a patient in order to find the truth. Perfect for fans of Stacy Willingham and Tarryn Fisher!

My February @AardvarkBookClub picks! Both sounded good, and my library had neither. I would‘ve gotten Come and Get It, too, but I already have a library copy AND may get to go see Reid at Parnassus Saturday if I‘m not too tired. 🎉 Looks like it will be a great month!! #aardvark
