I‘ve been curious about this one for a while-it‘s an interesting concept for dystopian fiction where women are limited to 100 words a day & society has taken on a puritanical stand. It shares a lot of qualities with other titles in this genre-but #RecklessCharacter Jean is not always easy to root for (or to understand why everyone falls in love with her). I understand the mixed reviews but think this is a good discussion starter! #NewYearNewYou

I haven‘t read this book yet but I look forward to reading it. I‘ve read 5 of his other books and his writing is excellent!

The story shows the remarkable transformation of a bedraggled sorrel mare with the huge appetite to “Private Reckless” who evidently won the hearts of the Marines; even more so, when she proved her mettle during battle.
