This is a treasure I found in a second hand shop. Includes fantastic photos of rice harvesting & prep! I love wild rice so I‘m looking forward to having more creative ways of using it.

I totally do not have the tagged book but I‘m a long time fan of both—and yes I am recycling peanut butter and dressing jars into canisters 😍 Hope everyone is well.

I love mathematical based folktales! This is a great introduction to how numbers and multiplication works, while delivering a moral on fairness and overcoming greed. The illustrations remind me of the Indian miniature paintings I‘ve seen in art museums, which I think served as inspiration for the author.

Waaaaaaaaaaaay too long!! Listened to the audiobook. It was 28 hours!! She was saying things like “chapter 52...” In a memoir! Anyway, not a fan of her politics AT ALL but I like political memoirs of Washington insiders. Normally. This was like reading a dissertation on foreign policy. I enjoyed her NSA time but the State Dept stuff was so boring. SO glad to have reached the end!
@brandybear22 took me on a surprise adventure to see the giant spinning ice disc in our Presumpscot River this morning. It had stopped spinning but started again; we drove to the top of a five-story parking garage for the best view, and it turned more than a quarter of the way ‘round in the few minutes we watched. Wild! (Tagged book is one I looked at at brunch and may want to pick up next time 🤓👩🏻🍳)
Ok - here‘s my first post and it‘s a children‘s book! I found this about 8 years ago in our elementary school library and fell in love! I read it to my daughter‘s 3rd grade class for reading month. It came to my mind the other day so I ordered my own copy off eBay. Girl power!
