The Hundredth Man | Jack Kerley

#TheHundredthMan #JackKerley #BookSpinBingo

Jack Kerley's debut novel. A headless body is found with words inked on the skin. When another mutilated victim turns up, Carson Ryder determines that it is a serial killer and not a crime of passion. I found this book hard to get into and too many happenings going on at the same time. The dialogue also seemed a bit disjointed. Hopefully the plot will move along a little better in the second book.

Tove_Reads Just checked and I could get the Lizzie Gardner series for Qd,94, so that would be my choice. The others are harder for me to get hold of that you suggested, so I‘ll go for the same series from your choices as you do. 3y
EadieB @Tove_Reads Just changed to Kerley but either of fine with me. 3y
Tove_Reads Naturally I‘m willing to read all my choices, and really been meaning to read Montanari for ages, but right now I‘m really drawn to Ken Bruen. It just sounds good, and a bit different. 3y

EadieB @Tove_Reads I can do Bruen too as I have some of his books. I suppose we could pick a series to start with and read another one after we finish the first one. 3y
Tove_Reads 👍🏽 As always, we are simply too good at choosing great authors! 3y
EadieB @Tove_Reads I agree! Which would you like to read first? @Andrew65 3y
Tove_Reads Oh no… says the first bruen is currently unavailable 3y
Tove_Reads So, the ones in your pics would work for me! 3y
Andrew65 @Tove_Reads @EadieB Easiest to get hold for me are the J A Kerley Series and the Ragan Series. Might need more time to get hold of books 2 and 3 in the Montanari series. (edited) 3y
Andrew65 @Tove_Reads @EadieB Are we reading all of one series before moving onto the next one, or like previous are we alternating book 1 of each series before moving onto book 2s etc. 3y
Tove_Reads @andrew65 Remember internet archive 😊 3y
Tove_Reads Alternating, I assume @andrew65 @EadieB 3y
Andrew65 That‘s what I thought, alternating worked well last time. Just need to spread them out as work intense and don‘t read as fast as you. @EadieB @Tove_Reads 3y
Andrew65 @Tove_Reads Thanks for the internet archive reminder. Now good to go for any of them. Hadn‘t checked there. (edited) 3y
EadieB Alternatively is fine. Check this website for best priced books - bookfinder.com @Andrew65 @Tove_Reads (edited) 3y
Andrew65 Is one book every 10 days okay (e.g. one from each series each month) or do you want to go slower? Just put them in the randomiser and suggested this order : Abducted, followed by The Hundreth Man, followed by The Rosary Girls. 3y
Andrew65 @EadieB Thanks Eadie, will check it out. 3y
Tove_Reads I think pretty much anything works for me right now. I‘ve finished most series I‘m reading, so I don‘t feel the pressure of having to continue with the ones I‘m reading so much. One per 10 days works for me. We can amend it if it doesn‘t work out. @andrew65 @eadieb 3y
Andrew65 @Tove_Reads I have a number of NetGalley books to read around these but happy to try one every 10 days. What about first one on 10th, then 20th, then 30th of each month. Easy to remember. @EadieB (edited) 3y
Tove_Reads 👍🏽 and if you haven‘t gotten around to read Patricia Gibney you should do it now! @andrew65 @eadieb 3y
EadieB @Andrew65 @Tove_Reads 10th, 20th and 30th works for me too. I will check out Gibney books. 3y
EadieB @Tove_Reads What is internet archive? 3y
