I need to read more books like this. For sheer perspective sake. And there's definitely a lot of perspectives in this book due to the unique stories coming from so many diverse characters. Nair writes beautifully while simultaneously discussing sensitive topics. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Posting this quote because her book is full of introspective thoughts such as this, and I enjoyed every moment of the reading and reflecting.

On a slightly more positive note, this book is blowing my mind. Definitely looking for more Anita Nair in the future. Her writing style has a way of drawing you in and wanting to learn more about the characters, despite how diverse and different their stories are. I started this book 2 days after it was overdue at the library. Now it's 10 days overdue, and I have no intention of turning it in until I finish. Thankfully there are no late fees. 😂

I wish all history books were written in this interesting manner. Mostly history has been written with activities on land at center stage. In this book author Sanjeev Sanyal have beautifully portrayed how activities in Indian Ocean, Arabic sea, etc along with other parts played equally vital role in shaping the series of events which in turn shaped our today as we see.

My Rating : 5/5 stars
From european supremacist mind-set of colonial era trying to fragment India to cunning threats of 21st century lurking behind curtains of liberalism, this book has a Bonafide account of all of them, backed by credible references. An important book for not only every Indian but anyone from across the world to have an idea of how such forces operate and to what extent they can go.

I don't know why I am reading it. I didn't know I signed up for a history lesson with so many characters and stories so cringe worthy and problematic! #notforme

Well I completed this book on 14th July
It was in my TBR list for long and finally read it

If you are a fan of Indian mythological books and thriller books then this combination of both is awesome to go for.It is a engaging book with awesome twist. I don't want to write much as I needs to be savoured

P.S. I sketched that sketch specifically to post about this
