The song 'Fame ' features on the 'Young Americans' album released by Bowie in 1975. This was a complete turnaround in sound and look with David moving to a Philadelphia soul influenced sound and a smarter, less glam image - The Thin White Duke era. The album contains the song involving John Lennon - 'Fame' which he co-wrote with Bowie and Carlos Alomar. 👇

TrishB Also a cover of The Beatles 'Across The Universe ' which was written by Lennon later appeared on the 'Let It Be ' album.

TrishB The song 'Fame' and album 'Young Americans' are notable for featuring Luther Vandross and Robin Clark on backing vocals. Indeed , Bowie was instrumental in Vandross getting signed to a solo career thanks to his outstanding vocals on the Young Americans album.
