Using the last daylight to start my buddyread section for today. 🤩 I already read my secret garden section and I started another book... 😕 How many books can one person read at one time?
How many books do you read at once?
Besides it's of course #fridayreads

wanderinglynn I normally have 3 going at a time: (1) physical, (2) e-book, & (3) audiobook. Sometimes I might have 2 physical books, but I prefer to finish one before starting another. 2w
charl08 Depends what you mean by "reading": I always have lots that I've started, and might go back to! 2w
Caterina I currently have around 16 books going I think? Wait, maybe 17... But they're all different! 😂 I keep a range of audiobooks, Kindle books, physical books, and at least one Serial Reader book on my phone going at all times. They range from nonfiction (from history to theology to memoir) to poetry, short stories, and other fiction. That way I always have the perfect book for a mood. 😊 I visit each one at least every 2 days. 2w

Crazeedi I used to do one at a time...now I have a basket with 8 or 10 I started, and really want to finish...and an ebook...and a physical book. I really dont like doing this but #blameitonlitsy, LOL😉💞 2w
Crazeedi And I have to get a couple audiobooks to start with the #BFC challenge!! 2w
BarbaraJean I usually have at least 3 or 4 in progress at any given time, and often up to 7 or 8! One audiobook, one nonfiction, one fiction, and lately one poetry as well. Then any “required” reading for book clubs and buddy reads, and this year I‘ve had assigned reading for a class at church, so it‘s gotten a little more out of control than normal! 2w
batsy I used to be one book at a time reader, but with digital books it became more like two or three. Most always there's one in print and one digital book going at the same time :) 2w
twohectobooks For me I like to have two going at a time. Sometimes I get impatient to start new things and end up with three or four but that always stresses me out so I try not to let myself do it. 2w
wordslinger42 I'm usually reading 4 or 5 at a time! I'm a mood reader, so I like being able to go back & forth between books, depending on what sounds good at the time! 2w
rubyslippersreads I usually have two or three going at once, sometimes more. My mom used to say that was the sign of a true bookworm. 😄 2w

I‘m currently reading Cassandra at the Wedding and loving it. I‘m not sure I‘ll finish in time for the discussion tomorrow, but I‘m so glad I picked up this book.

What are you reading this lovely Friday?

A Dream of Death | Connie Berry

I‘ve been in the writing cave and then swamped with promoting a new series, but I‘m back now. I‘ll try to catch up with some recent reads, including this one:

Reading A Dream of Death and enjoying the dual narrative with modern and historical story lines. An antique dealer travels to a Scottish island and becomes involved in a murder investigation. 🔍⛰✨

The prescience of this book (published in 2004) is a bit creepy and frightening.

“The best friend of a nation is he who most faithfully rebukes her for her sins - and he her worst enemy who, under the specious...garb of patriotism seeks to excuse, palliate or defend them.” This was written by Douglass in April 1846 to Horace Greeley. It is true as ever. #resist #resistance #fridayreads #nonfiction #quotes

melissajayne It was of course written about slavery but I think the sentiment still rings true. 2mo
