This week‘s library haul, plus Casey‘s head. I‘m so glad they finally bought more of A MAN AND HIS CAT!
I also brought three boxes of books to donate to the Friends of the Library sale. They were leftovers from a pop up LFL I did last weekend. Most of the LFLs around here closed, and it was so much fun watching people get DELIGHTED when they saw a random bookshelf full of freebies. Weirdly, everyone took the huge, heavy nonfiction titles.

pickThe deeper I get into this series, the more I love it.
The character development and backstory reveals ramp up more in this one, leading to several emotional moments, including one I never expected.
The action doesn't slow down, either, and the book manages a balance between the heavier emotions and the laugh out loud humor the series is known for.
I'm absolutely itching for the end of the month when I'll finally get my hands on book 7!
pickThis series could easily have gone down the road into a gimmicky mess but there is a lot of depth to the characters that make you stick around for more despite the absolutely over the top world. We see more of the toll that the constant fight for survival is taking on Carl and his fellow crawlers. There's not a big cliffhanger on this one but it's still going to be hard to wait for the next installment.
I've only eaten 4 and they all look delicious BUT it's still summer!!!

pickSomehow, this series just keeps getting better! Dinniman continues to expand on the lore and the politics as the action ramps up the deeper we get in the dungeon.
While the humor remains through much of this book, we also get more of the deeper emotional moments, including a few that left me absolutely reeling.
As always, I finished this one and had to dive straight into the next book!
