Revisiting my Buffy The Vampire Slayer “Watcher‘s Guide, Volume Three" after another great rewatch of one of my all-time favorite shows. This rewatch was really fun and special because I watched in sync with my dear friend @Kerrbearlib who just watched for the first time! ? #BuffyTheVampireSlayer
so-soNot great. The set up is so weird, not 100% it even makes sense. Some characters were nearly interchangeable not stand out archetypes like the original cast. And the villains themselves were good but the villain POV was a waste. But Blake does a great job with the banter from the OG characters, I love the nostalgia of it, and the new scoobies are left with quite a mystery so I‘ll likely continue.
It's a xmas miracle! Ever since Disney Hyperion released a trilogy of Buffyverse books, set 20ish years after the show with Willow's daughter as the new slayer, I have been saying they were planning a TV sequel. That Spike was spelled to look "old" and Buffy was missing were huge tip offs to me. Now I see this, and I KNOW I'm right. Looks like Disney and SMG had some negotiating to do lol Who's ready?! I sure am! ?
