minkyb @Lizpixie My mom didn't discourage my reading but the family had no regard for books. I lived in a very tiny apartment growing up, 5 kids 2 supposed adults, 1 bedroom, 1 closet (you get the picture). Anyway, when I escaped to my first semester at college I came home for the holiday to find my mother had thrown out all my books because she needed the space. I am so happy you have your library and your partner. 💜💜💜 7y

Yeah_I_Read My husband is the same! And it is sooo nice. We just converted a room in our house to a library/office. I told him last night that I wouldn't be doing anything today bc a book that I have been waiting for just came out and he just gave me the"I already know" look lol. It is amazing to have that support in your life partner. I would have loved to marry a reader but the fact that he supports mine is enough ❤️❤️❤️ 7y
Texreader How wonderful! My dad was sort of like your mom. Anti-reader who belittled books. He had to mellow about it over the years once I was able to buy books galore after I started working in high school. Readers overcome!! 7y
