Bad Summer People: A Novel | Emma Rosenblum

I hadn‘t heard of BAD SUMMER PEOPLE until it turned up in my library‘s Express section, but I love a book about rich people behaving badly so I jumped on it. I got through the first 50% while I did various hands-on-brain-off stuff earlier, and I feel good about all my choices. It‘s like east coast Jackie Collins on vacation.

One of the things I did while I listened was block this baby shawl. I‘m happy with that result, too. #audiocrafting

xicanti NB: I call it a baby shawl because you‘re supposed to give it to a baby, but you‘re also supposed to knit it with a washable yarn. I thought I was doing just that until I read the label again halfway through and discovered I was very much mistaken. Now I guess I‘ll keep it and make something else for my cousin‘s kid‘s first birthday. 1w

I raced after school to buy pansies and get home to finish this book. It felt like summer today (21°C) so perfect to finish this book. I love Elin Hilderbrand, I want to live in a cottage in Nantucket. This book was bittersweet and a lot sad

Current buddy and bookclub reads that are on now or about to start #gettingmyducksinarow 🦆🦆🦆🦆🦆 I‘m not sure I can imagine only reading 1 book at a time 🤣🤣

mcctrish @Suet624 I read them at different times, daily buddy reads I read first thing in the morning or after school, Sunday Buddy reads I read on Thursdays ( I don‘t know why I picked that day) audio books while I drive or putter, bookclub reads before bed. My audios are usually non-fiction or light - The Postcard is last months #europacollective I‘d have rather it in print and I should have just bought it 🤦🏻‍♀️ I can‘t stop listening to it 2w
