This is a graphic novel I picked up at #ALA2019. I really wanted to love it. Alas...
It was an interesting idea for a story and there were some good themes that were introduced. However, I don‘t think there was enough development of the story,those themes and the backgrounds of the characters.

Conference Program | American Library Association

Awesome haul from the ALA conference yesterday. The bottom two were super exciting for me- I‘ve really been wanting to read Darius the Great, and I really enjoy the work of Karl Marlantes as a historian and author. I was able to get both books signed. 😊

My #bookhaul from #ALA2019 ...such a tiny amount for me, mainly because I didn‘t want to haul them on the Metro all over DC and Maryland to bring them home. I made out the best at Kensington Publishing!

Also, I had a wonderful chat with @melissanorr ...so great to meet you! Meeting fellow Littens is super fun!

Librarybelle @ferskner I‘ve been a couple of times, but only when it‘s in DC, and when my library snags a few exhibit passes. I‘m usually begging colleagues to bring me back books, so a rare treat for me to actually go through the exhibits! 5y
