I'm far behind so here's a mega-post for the second half of the year.
July was the toughest month to choose because a couple other books were good. The Traveling Cat Chronicles made be ugly cry.
A Bear Called Paddington might be the best book I read this year.
Madam wins December only because I felt underwhelmed by all of the ones I read.

My final selection for #12booksof2022. This was a library #bookclub pick and despite my reservations about the book, I quite enjoyed it. My favourite chapters were the ones on Florence and the two chapters set in Vienna. My only complaint was that the chapter on Athens was much too long for my liking.

When I went on my beach vacation back in early November, I had packed three Emily Henry books with, but decided to leave behind two of them (I know realize that I should have left two others behind instead). I ended up taking this one along with me and I thoroughly enjoyed the book. I had heard so many good things about the book that I thought it was too overhyped. Boy was I wrong; a very good romance book that didn‘t get cheesy. #12booksof2022

I almost forgot to post my favorite read from December. I loved reading Austen‘s letters, especially those to her sister Cassandra. This is a treat for every Austen fan.

I would also mention “Miss Butterworth and the Mad Baron”, a graphic novel that surprised me in a positive way.
