Looking at the cover of the 1967 edition with the polar bear, I remember the solution to that particular mystery! It‘s weird what sticks from childhood, huh?

Sace Mine is the cover on the top right. I just caught Bugs Meany smoking in one of the illustrations. I had to 🤣 because now we have parental warnings for smoking on shows. 2mo

Sace @Ruthiella oh absolutely not! It‘s definitely a “hey kids! Smoking is not cool!” There‘s actually a lot of smoking going on this book. It‘s kind of surprising to me (now). My parents were smokers so I guess I didn‘t even think about it as kid. 2mo
