“Silly! We do not want you to teach us!” “We want to learn ‘The Elephant‘!”

Elephant and Piggie books are some of my favorites. There is also something to learn, and the stories are very cute. I definitely plan to have some Elephant and Piggie books around my classroom.

In this edition of Elephant and Piggie, Piggie is excited to dance with Gerald. However, it is stated on page 11 of 'All Things Elephants Can Do' that elephants cannot dance. Piggie begins lessons, hoping that Gerald will be able to follow. Things do not go as planned, but not all is lost and Gerald ends up learning a thing or two about himself.

This books displays what action verbs are. They are good at using the bubbles to show what the people are saying so children can see what a graphic novel looks like.

So adorable! I enjoyed reading this because it was just a light-hearted book that small children can read and enjoy.

I love the way the book shows movement this way.

“We will try again.”

This story is so cute! It‘s about a elephant and a piggy that are best friends. It shows that patience is so important and that if you think you cannot do something if you practice you can do it. I love how these short stories have a message behind them.

“Gerald, it does not say that you cannot try!”

Great series for young children. Story about two friends helping each other learn a new skill. The font is large and easy to read.

This book was published in 2009. It‘s a really cute inspirational book. The illustrations are a little bland but I think that is the purpose of the book. I remember reading this one as a kid!

Gerald, it does not say that you cannot try!

This story was super cute and engaging for young children. The font is all different which makes it thrilling for children. I recognize elephant and piggie, as they are super popular in kindergarten. Great lessons.

Another Mo Willems goodie!!

While Gerald believes elephant cannot dance, Piggy is determined to show him they CAN!

As always, a fun read aloud for children, and I appreciate any book that can help a child smile and feel good about being different.

Definitely a worthy addition to any Elephant and Piggy collection.
