The first chapter of this book really brought the light into my eyes of what it was like to live in countries with the Nazis. To read the panic through everyone‘s eyes was heart wrenching.

This book was about a girl and her family who took in her friend and the friend‘s during the Nazi invasion. I thought this book brought out a lot of good and sad emotions and was so hard to put down!

This is a major turning point for Ada. She was excited to realize that math and imagination did not have to be opposites-as her mother had wanted so desperately to impress upon her-they actually went well together!

I thought this book was enjoyable because it's an encouraging story about women in the STEM field. Ada's mom didn't want her to grow up with a “wild imagination like her father“ so she planned music lessons and royal balls for Ada to attend. Her mom didn't want her to be an engineer. This is about being sure to follow your dreams even if its not what other people in your life want from you.

Every Fourth of July, she was mesmerized by the fireworks in the sky. She was a New Yorker.

This book was a true story about a young girl named Areli born in Mexico and her parents moved to America for a better life. They were separated for some time then finally it was time for Areli to make her journey to America. She didn't want to leave her Abuela and the comfort of Mexico but she begins to understand her dreams could come to life in the new country.

Pura fills the heads of the children with stories, their arms with books. Gracias, they say as they leave the library.

this was a good book to support English as a second language for learners. The story is a mix of English and Spanish words. The girl Pura explains how hard it can be to move to a new place and be surrounded by a language you don't know. Everything is so, so different.

I enjoyed this book. I only know a little about Dolly Parton but this gave a good look at her life story and her passion for music.

I enjoyed this book! This book is about the LGBTQ+ community. In this story, it gives facts about how the rainbow flags were created. I think this is a great book to read to educate young students on this topic.

This is a biography book of a man named Jackson Pollock. He was a painter and he made paintings that searched for a more life than NYC. I thought this book was a cute idea to look at his work and create idea of art based on his work.

This book tells the story of Marian Anderson who was one of America's greatest singers. This book illustrates the difficulties she faced growing up and her accomplishments. There is a color theme throughout the book in browns and copper. She was making her mark on the world pre civil rights.

This is a biography on Benjamin Franklin and his life. This book has illustrations that allow you to picture the era that he grew up in. The book is organized by main events that took place in his life.

This book was cute and very inspirational! The character makes pots for lots of people by her own hands and becomes very popular as the women who makes pots that are shaped by her hands. It‘s a good women‘s inspiration book!

This book was so cute! It was about a girl who played the piano and she was so good that she began to play around the world and became known as the piano girl. It was a really good story overall!

This was a good book. It was about a solider and a stray dog. The soldier found the dog and brought him to war with him. The dog and the solider grew an amazing bond. The dog ended up passing notes to other people on the battle field. He was such a brave dog and he was extremely loyal to his owner.

This book is about water. It gave amazing facts about water on each page. It teaches a lesson that we are lucky to live where we do because people in other countries do not have the water sources that we do here. It also gives some suggestions to helping other countries.
